The arts are alive in downtown Flint! The Flint Cultural Center (FCC), home to a group of nationally-recognized cultural institutions aimed at furthering the arts, sciences and humanities anchors the downtown area. In addition, downtown Flint weaves together the talents and inspiration of local and international artists, visual and performing arts, museums, art galleries and theatre.

The What's UP Downtown Community Engagement Project is a marketing initiative funded by the Ruth Mott Foundation and managed by Uptown Reinvestment Corporation to increase the awareness of downtown development efforts, events and businesses. The funding of the project supports various components including downtown presentations, downtown tours, a website and a bi-monthly newsletter.
